Wont happen, I would expect Sony to be leading the charge to the next generation.
It would be worthless for Sony to continue to flounder with the PS3 while MS would be on their next generation of consoles. Sony has learnt a lot this time around and will bury the PS3 as soon as they can. Why would they continue to try and market a system that currently isnt as successful as the WII and 360 what would be the point ??
The 360 would have more chance of a longer than expected lifespan than the PS3. Sony will just stay in the race and want to clean the slate ASAP to get ready for the next battle.
