Computer Generated Imagery. So, pretty close.
Interestingly enough, when you think about it, every single video game ever made, all the way back to the NES or even Atari 2600 are all displaying CGI. They are all computers, and they are all generating imagery in realtime and putting it on the screen. But when people use "CGI" they're usually referring to images or video that were rendered in much higher detail than it is possible to do in realtime, and saved to be played back later.
