Because a lot of the comparisons people like to do only work if you use the arcade's price. For example:
- wiifan: the wii is more expensive than the 360 and still outsells it
- 360fan: the 360 is now cheaper than the wii and so will outsell the wii in the future
- ps3fan: the ps3 costs twice what the 360 does and still competes
- 360fan: the 360 is now half the price of the ps3; the ps3 is going to die
The fact that there are people on all sides who ignore the better selling, more expensive SKUs just makes things worse.
