Trestres kind of confuses me. He defends Nintendo to the death and flamebaits fans of the HD consoles one minute, and then bashes Nintendo and the Wii the other minute. Just buy the now ridiculously cheap 360.

Maybe it's not you; Trestres is likely the one who's confused, or maybe just conflicted.

Like some of the more hardcore Nintendo fans, he seems to want to have his cake and eat it too. He wants the impressive hardware intensive games like RE5, yet he wants to see them on the platform least suited (both from a technical and commercial standpoint) for it.

Nobody can blame Capcom for a "lack of support" seeing as how it's been one of the biggest third party supporters of the Wii. That doesn't mean the Wii is entitled to have every game they publish, or even their most impressive games since again, that's just not what the Wii was made for.

As for Nintendo, with the number of first party games they've been cranking out, it's a wonder they still have anything left to give fans until the next iteration of each of their franchises that have already made an appearance on the Wii. Don't blame Nintendo for releasing their best games so quickly (what kind of complaint would that be?).

If you know what kind of games you like, and they're obviously not being developed for the Wii, JUST BUY A 360. They're $200. You're not going to be using it as a primary console anyway, so all the online functionality etc. probably won't even be used. Until an HDD is required to play the biggest titles, you don't even need to buy one.
