.... the combat is identical. I'm not denying there were small sections of the E3 06 trailer that were CGI. In fact I'll even go through them for you.
CGI: The instant before Mario's Final Smash around 16 seconds, the instant before Link's at 26 seconds, Kirby from 30 seconds to 32 seconds, The ship launching and Meta Knight's introduction from 35 seconds to 42 seconds, Pit's attack and introduction from 47 seconds to 55 seconds, from Samus's Final Smash at 1:00 to Wario's Nuclear Fart at 1:37, and finally Snake throwing off the crate at 2:25. All combat seen in that video is real time in game footage.
