Wii music was at least different. This is a game that has been released twice already with almost zero difference in versions.

I guess WiiSpeak, A city, Wiiconnect24 capabilities and Online play are just more of the same.

Think the difference between Pokemon Red and Pokemon Yellow. Thats more akin to what this is like(not literal difference, obviously.) As much as I love Animal Crossing, just having a city isn't enough to warrent a full price purchase for me. DS had online.

Wiispeak is gonna be absolutely painful http://gizmodo.com/5087928/nintendo-says-f-you-with-one+time+use-wii-speak-code

If the formula isn't broken, don't fix it. Also about Wiispeak, why would you have to use the code more than once?

Exactly, if the formula isn't broken, don't fix it. Doesn't say much about change it, because if you don't change it, why not just buy the $15 AC Gamecube version if it is essentially the exact same game as the Wii Version. Thers a difference between "don't fix" and "don't change". They, apparently, chose to do neither.

And Wii Speak, what if you want to get it used? What if your Wii breaks and you need a hard drive replacement? What if you sold your Wii, and want to sell its peripherals too?

@tehsage: Yeah, its a pretty strange thing with me. I ove playing Animal Crossing, but I can always wait to play it. Sort of, a "I love it" but "I don't need it". Eh, yeah it is confusing...

I'm positive if you send your Wii in to get replaced, Nintendo will give you another coupon or something for your WiiSpeak channel.

Besides, I didn't feel like playing Animal Crossing on the DS so the Wii version was perfect for me. And they even given you the option to use your DS character on the Wii version.
