I think you don't follow news close enough... and besides that Microsoft is very careful of the moves they make... if they get to large they risk being torn apart like Ma Bell... Microsoft is very dangerous because they know what they want and they rarely lose site of their goals... sometimes they slip up or try to reach for something that just isn't technologicly ready(i.e. WFS)
