This is all I have to say for between the two consoles one has.
Absolute dominance in shooters.
Absolute dominance in WRPGs.
Since the above make up a fair proportion of sales this generation its quite significant.
Is it going to change next year? No.
1. Bioware can fart and produce an awesome RPG. Its GOTY if they actually do it to their standards
2. Bungie is releasing again. The world stops to look whenever Bungie releases a game.
Games like Killzone 2 aren't going to change things significantly. Killzone 2 is 1.5 years and two holiday seasons too late to effect a big change. Awesome game though, definately could be shooter of the year.
Most of this talking about games is crap and you should know it, look at the Wii. People buy what their friends have, what they've played etc. Microsofts console is winning that race and thats all they need to do to sell good numbers next year. Good multiplat games just dilute exclusives. Since COD WAW and R2 are both about as good as each other but one has the better known name, COD is going to outsell R2 noone who hasn't got a PS3 is going to care about that game.
