At E3 this year, Reggie stated that 14 of the top 20 selling games on Wii were 3rd parties. Nintendo isn't holding them back, they just haven't put much effort into the Wii yet.
On top of that but as the Wii continues to sell, more 3rd parties will jump aboard and that will naturally increase their sales and the gap between N and 3rd party sales will shrink.
