" And the score for tales matters because....?"

It is just another example of the fact that games on the Wii tend to be rather poor and as more people wake up to this realization, sales for The Golden Cow will begin to slow down.

Also, all those people that wanted to point to the Wii getting some kind of core gam this year to justify their support of the console were pointing to this game, and it completely tanks.

But in the bigger picture when Japanese studios see that their games in this genre on the Wii are going to get panned by critics in the West, then they will be less inclined to bring this type of game to the Wii in the west. Also, it will build up a reputation for Wii rpgs that they aren't any good. Whereas FFXIII on the PS3 will probably get a 10 like MGS 4 and GTA IV and sell like gangbusters prompting more games in this genre, one of the most popular in this genre to come to the PS3. So, the Wii will lose many potential customers do to this trend.

No one cares, Wii fit, Wii sports and the like are going to keep the system selling like gangbusters, who cares if Tales is a flop?"

Those games aren't going to keep selling forever. And, they are only two games that Nintendo got lucky with. But as Wii Music a game in the same series shows, not everything that Nintendo slaps the name "Wii" on is going to be a title that receives astronomical sales.

The Wii is doomed to fail in the long run. When there are much better and more popular games on the PS3, then why would people buy the Wii? Most likely it will soon run its course on these incredible sales and begin to sell only in Gamecube amounts before 2009 is over.

ROFL, again you make the fatal flaw of thinking that the world thinks like you, most people wouldn't play a game like Tales, or gears or anything similar, they aren't the traditional gamers who those games appeal to, they like short fun games like Wii fit, Wii sports etc.

Wii music may have failed, but look at Wii fit, still in the top five WW months after release, just shows that Wii Music was a wrong choice, because games like Guitar hero already cover that market, but games like Wii fit and Wii sports are unlikely to die off any time soon.  You say that these games will stop selling, but facts say otherwise, and more of them, like Wii sports 2 are on the horizon, and will likely continue to sell.

Until PS3 can do away with the button filled controllers and create easy to pick up and play games like Wii they won't be abl;e to overtake the Wii

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
