I was hoping for Richardson. He was key in negotiating with N. Korea on the nuclear pact, traveled to Darfur and met with Saddam in the past. He is a bulldog but a statesman. I think it's really just a way to keep the spotlight on HRC but in the end, Richardson is his best option. Richardson showed his support early, can easily do the job and won't really try to confront Obama. HRC would challenge him and confront him a lot more than Richardson.
For Richardson, being SoS is a great stepping stone for the presidency.
