@ Paul_Warren,

See you are wrong about what sells systems. The 360 will continue to sell because it will continue to get a wide variety of high quality titles. Sure a huge title can create a short term boost, but it is the steady flow of quality titles that keep things moving.

It doesnt need another Halo 4 this generation. Halo 4 can be nurtured by the new development team and brought along slowly and kick off the launch of the NextBox. As for Gears 3 MS and Epic will want to close out that trilogy on the 360. Let that trilogy end in November 2010. Then a new trilogy can start in 2012/2013.

It is to late now for the PS3. The PS3 isnt all of a sudden going to get more 3rd party support. It isnt all of a sudden get the best versions of 3rd party games (Yes there are exceptions). It isnt all of a sudden going to be around the same price. Sure the PS3 will probably drop $100 next holiday, but 360 will drop price as well. Maybe not $100, but enough so the Arcade is 1/2 the price of the PS3. There is nothing that will create a dramatic shift.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
