The wii version of Guitar Hero World tour outsold the 360 version in only its second week, and it is only ~95k behind in total sales entering the holiday season.  Considering the notoriously long legs of wii sales, and almost equally impressive high front end of 360 sales, it seems likely that the wii version will surpass the lifetime sales of the 360 version.  I would even predict that more wii owners end up purchasing this game within 2008.

Technically this isn't the first time this happened with a Guitar Hero game (the Aerosmith version was the first), but it is the first time it's happened with a non-expansion title.  Is anyone surprised by this?

Also, does anyone think that the Wii version of Rockband 2 has any chance of outselling the 360 version (despite a 3 month advantage of the former)?  I think its unlikely, but considering how much the wii market grows in the holiday season, it seems possible it could at least be close 360 version after everything is said and done.  The bottom line for me is, the 360's attachment rate may be uber impressive, but man, the wii user base is just HUGE.
