I think the big point people are missing here is that a game doesn't have to be a million seller to make money, and be profitable.

Therefore the argument that the 360 will get all kinds of exclusives because it can sell 2 million instead of just 1 million is invalid. That 1 million will still make the developer plenty of money and make the game worth it

Oh I see.. the developers don't care how much money they make, just as long as they make some profit...hehe, that makes perfect sense.

Developers have three choices for HD gaming

A) PS3 Exclusive
Development Cost - 2nd highest
Sales Potential - Lowest

B) 360 Exclusive
Development Cost - Lowest
Sales Potential - 2nd Highest

C) Multiplatform
Development Cost - Highest
Sales Potential - Highest

Out of these three choices the worst is the PS3 exclusive. This doesn't even take into account the PC option. If developers decide to make this an exclusive (timed or not) their best option is the 360.

I think you misunderstood, did I say PS3 exclusives made more money or profit? No, I said developers aren't going to stop multiplatform titles, because there is money to be made on the PS3, a lot of it, perhaps not as much as the 360 or Wii but it's still alot of money and they are not just going to give it up. Why? BECAUSE THEY WANT TO MAKE MONEY.
