As said above, the "loss" of games sales is replaced by movie sales. Sony knows this to be true, so they aren't worried at all. And again, a game does not have to sell a billion copies to be successful and profitable.

Like I said, I doubt you'd be able to find official figures, but Sony has lost less than Microsoft, while still maintaining great consoles (2x the price, pretty much the same sales), decent software sales and good movie sales. Obviously they are doing something right, unlike Microsoft. To them if there is a problem they throw money at it until it's fixed.

Anyways back to the original post, it's just pathetic and somewhat upsetting that he'd choose a console based on the attach rate rather than looking at actual game scores and opinions of other gamers, and he seems to be ignoring his own tastes.
