@Zen

I disagree.

I liked Raiden alot as a main character. I think his biggest obstacle to get over was the fact that he was not Solid Snake. But, personally, I enjoyed playing as Raiden, and am sad that I will not have the opportunity to do so again in a new game.

Funny though, how so many people tout MGS3 as being vastly superior to 2, yet MGS2 has the highest metacritic rating out of all of the MGS games. (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps2/metalgearsolid2)

That being said, it's all a matter of opinion, and there are those who agree with me, and those that will agree with Zen.

Yeah, defenders use that a lot(I argue this a lot on my other forums, lol) but the game simply isn't fondly remembered by most MGS fans. :P

It was the biggest game on the PS2(and along with FFX, the reason most people chose the PS2 early on) and reviewers got caught up in the hype.

MGS3 and 4 actually delivered on the hype behind themselves.

Again, opinions differ, but whoever thought taking Solid Snake out of Metal Gear Solid was a good idea, needs to be thrown out of a small aircraft over Alaska without a parachute.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
