No--it was 5.5 million, and it's currently 5.8 million.  Yes, the lead grew since then and then shrank some more, but the fact remains that 360's lead now is still greater than it was at PS3's launch.

Did you look at the graph you linked to?  The 360 started with a lead of approximately 5.36 million, and it's currently at about 5.8 million.

When PS3 started selling in EU too lead was > 7 million, it's quite obvious XB360 lead kept on growing strong when PS3 was still selling only in half of its total market.
