Why have most of the games bombed shamefully in Japan this gen?

Well i just see no explenation where in Japan Wii games like Tenchu 4 and Sky Crawlers bomb so badly, i know Japanese are waiting for Animal Crossing but apart from Tales and FF IV the rest of the new software sells "meh".
