Okay, I'm currently in the market for a new HDTV. However, a projector is also a possibility. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a large HDTV vs. a projector? Pros and cons? This is currently my option of choice: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=3012976&sku=T24-5702&CMP=EMC-TIGEREMAIL&SRCCODE=WEM1430C

If you don't want to go to the link here are the basic specs on the TV:

  • 57" Toshiba DLP HDTV
  • 1080p
  • 16:9 Widescreen
  • 1920x1080 resolution
  • 3 HDMI inputs
  • 2 Component inputs
  • 2 Composite inputs
  • S-Video input
  • VGA input
  • 72 pounds
  • $1,099.99

That's the best bang for the buck I've found.  Anybody have any suggestions on better ones or what I should definitely require in my TV.  So far, my only qualifiers are: 1) Big; 2) 1080p; 3) HDMI; and 4) $1,500 MAX -- NOT REFURBISHED, preferably closer to $1,000.

What do you guys think?  This TV? A different one that you know is on sale?  A projector?  Comments would be greatly appreciated.
