This could be Blu-Ray's The Matrix, or the first title on the format to break a million the first week (and three million lifetime, but that's not my point). The Matrix hit DVD a little over two and a half years after the format launched, and the Dark Knight is hitting Blu-Ray about 2.5 years after the format launched.
This release will be very telling of how Blu-Ray is maturing compared to DVD ten years ago.
I have the movie pre-ordered on Amazon, but it's a Christmas gift for myself, so I'll have to wait two weeks to watch it. :(
