maybe a couple of weeks, but LTD i doubt it

What do you mean by maybe a couple of weeks? I meant by in TOTAL sales. Not weekly sales or monthly or whatever you meant.

A confusing thread for how it's worded. So you mean: Will the PS3 compensate for the 360's year to several years headstart for the various regions worldwide?

Financial data shows, by the end of December 2006 the gap between the PS3 and 360 was 8.72 million (which is normal for a year headstart for 2 major markets and no availability in other important and some less important regions), this includes less than 2 months of PS3 sales in North America, Japan and a few tiny markets. And this includes two holiday seasons for the 360 in North America, Europe, Japan and some smaller markets.

By March 2007 the gap dropped to 7.29 million with the European PS3 launch. By March 2008 the gap dropped to 6.15 million and now with the latest data stands at 5.66 million for September 2008.

Now to answer your question, it's almost a certainly the PS3 will pass the 360 in total sales, IMO it's far more a question of "when" rather than "if". There are endless reasons for this to be extremely likely.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."
