I think its sony fans that gave it all the hype, Sony was just letting people know how good the game is, and it is, so its not Sonys fault this game didn't deliver in terms of sales (according to certain people)
As for resistance 2, the game will sell what the game will sell. You can wish/hope all you like for high sales but at the end of the day it wont do a damn thing. Look at LBP ...
With the christmas period around the corner it will do just fine.
