I love how people keep trying to say that when the PS3 price drops it will destroy the 360. The gamecube had rapid price drops and it didn't suddenly start beating the xbox. Price is a factor but it isn't the be all, end all of it.
It is funny people are constantly talking about how the PS3 is gaining ground or will overtake the 360 by 201X. Yet as mentioned since the PS3 launched it has actually fallen further behind the 360. Not only that but certainly this christmas it looks like American sales will strongly be in favour of the 360. Others looks like it could be neck and neck, with the 360 price drops giving it a big boost. Japan for now looks like PS3 will take it, however we don't know how long PS3 sales will stay at the new levels. Previously they have dropped off rapidly. And with the last remnant coming out soon that will give the 360 a big boost.
The PS3 would need a consistant considerable increase in sales to overtake the 360. Basically it would need to take the casual market. Which the wii has taken pretty well.
