He may have a point though. I played Motorstorm a few times (it was one of the few games I've ever seen on demo consoles at stores) and I don't think it's a game people would particularly care about if it came out now.

The lack of games during the PS3 launch certainly helped it, and the ton of bundles it appeared in must also have helped.
