So let me get this straight. The ability to pay for a feature (on a game by game basis) that is absolutely free on the previous miodel that already costs less and has a longer battery life somehow makes the DSi better? Sorry, I bought the games I want to play once already. I see no need to buy a new, more expensive model with feature I don't want and hope for the priveledge of paying even more money to have to start all my games over again. DSi may appeal to you, but I would just buy a PSP if I wanted most of what it offered.
To address the OP your number two takes a lot of time to answer fully. I would say Final Fantasy 3, Final Fantasy 4, Dragon Quest 4-6 (only one out I think), Pokemon, Super Princess Peach, New Super Mario Brothers, Kirby Canvas Curse, Meteos, Puyo Pop Fever, Castlvevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Final Fantasy Tactics A2, Disgaea Hour (or is it afternoon) of Darkness, Super Mario 64, Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, The World Ends With You, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, and more I am too lazy to list. If you want my individual thoughts on any of the games feel free to PM me for a lengthy analysis.
Number 5 ties in really well with number 2. It can play any GBA game giving it a very diverse librar to choose from there. I'd list my favorites but I have named enough games for today.
On 6 there is a way to connect it to the PC actually. It doesn't do anything but charge the system though. I have only ever seen the cable once, and that was when one of my friends imported it from Japan to get a specific color.
I have gotten a good 16 or so hours on a single charge depending on the game. I want to say with Final Fantasy Tacics A2 I was getting closer to twenty, but it has been a long time since I played the game so I am unsure. The battery life is ludicrously long. It will outlast all but the longest road trips and easily get you through any given day.
