mmh. not agree at all.. I'm far more enthousiat about Gears 2 than 1.
I'll even let myself a bit to fanboyism by saying it is the best console FPS I ever played (from the campaign point of view - beats Halo, beats Cod, even beats Orange Box !).
The graphics are so good that I will make a prayer for KZ2. 
If there is a problem about matchmaking, they will fix it with the first patch no problem. That is why WE PAY our XBL subscription -> Quality.
