The Wii sells so well because everyone plays games (and I don't mean just video games). The Wii managed to capture the essence of gaming and combine it with an interface unlike anything else currently available. Suddenly all of the gross/fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination, and reflexes we have been using since infancy become relevant in a video game.
