Consoles Tie Ratio. Wii stands better than you might think

Publishers don't really care about the attach ratio, they care about the total volume of sales. Wii, having launched a year after X360, is only a few million units behind in 3rd party software. How's that for 3rd party software doesn't sell on Wii?

 

I BELIEVE that the attach ratios are for US only, but that would probably only strengthen your point ;)

PS3:
1st party - 0.9 x 6.26 million = 5.63 million
3rd party - 4.4 x 6.26 million = 27.54 million
Total - 5.3 x 6.26 million = 33.18 million

X360 (edited again for US sales of 360 after september 2007):
1st party - 1.4 x 7.62 million = 10.67 million
3rd party - 5.2 x 7.62 million = 39.62 million
Total - 6.6 x 7.62 = 50.29 million

Wii:
1st party - 2.4 x 15.68 million = 37.63 million
3rd party - 3.1 x 15.68 million = 48.61 million
Total - 5.5 x 15.68 million = 86.24 million
