Strom: I think what Fishy was referring to the fact that out of the three, Sony loses the most. That's why he states that both MS and Nintendo have that extra margin of profit to cut. MS is charging $479 for the Elite because its going to be a limited run and have a black system case instead of the usual white. In other words, they know they can get away with charging an additional $80. Its already been confirmed that once the Elite is sold out, the Premium model will get all the Elites features but sell for the usual $399 price. The current premium model, 20GB model, will be sold at the Core models current $299 price. The only thing that is up in the air at the moment is the Core model. MS hasn't decided whether they are going to can it, or sell it at a lower price point.
strange considering the new "elite" hasnt even been announced at this point, yet prices and price cuts have been confirmed based off of this console that hasnt even been announced yet? the interweb works in mysterious ways.
