I barely beat it on easy last week. I didn't know there was a good ending...the ending I get is the spaceship suspended on the screen with credits rolling. I hate dying and losing my weapon levels so much... but yeah the game is awesome!!!
Sega CD version called Robo Aleste is also very awesome with even better visuals and music (believe it or not CD music makes a world of difference). Man am I glad I made backups of all my sega CD games 6 years ago...Since most of them are scratched up and they dont play.
I heard good news on other forums...apparently "Unlockable games to be revealed soon!"
