It doesn't matter really. DVDs are dirt cheap, it doesnt matter if your game is on one or 20 DVDs. BluRay will have absolutely no effect for PC games, just like the DVD had no effect for PC games over CDs.

I dunno about that. Six+ CD games where pretty rare. 6+ DVD games will likely also be rare.

In the end DVD allowed for bigger datasets being used for games cheaply. Cheaper than putting it on CD's anyway. Blu Ray might do the same in the end.

 

 

UT2004. PC developers are never worried about how big their games are. They can always put in another CD or DVD for less than a dollar more.
