| bdbdbd said: Well, cklmb put pretty much my exact words about this one. My concern is also in the gameplay, and what do we know so far, is that it's not a sandbox game, it doesn't use the Wii Remote special features in its basic gameplay (although you have to shake the remote to charge your lightsaber, which i find hilarious) and it should be more violent than Manhunt. Let's hope that violence isn't the main focus on development. The story is so mindless, that i find it interesting. Artistic style is awesome, and so is the voice acting (perfect for the style of the game). I have been interested in the game since that it had still the name Heroes, and what i've seen so far, i would quote Travis Touchdown: I like that! |
I think when he said it was more violent than Manhunt he was joking, this kind of violence is a lot more cartoony and over the top while mahunt is a lot grittier and more realistic in its violence.
Also, I thought you use the Wiimote to slice and dice people, don't you? I was looking forward to some sword fighting with the Wii mote done right.
About the mindless story thing, I think it's a lot less mindless than almost every game out there in its story. The fact that it's not the same cliche good guys saving the world and beating the bad guys is a huge plus.
From the looks of it, it's more like a spaghetti western in that there are just different 'bad' characters fighting for their own interests instead of black and white cliche separations.
You really don't need to overly elaborate a story to make it good, just need to present it suitably for what it is. I want this game to basically cut out the fat that fills up all cliche stories, basically the girl the guy, the love story and fighting to save the world stuff...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
