I find myself in this situation, I do not know if it just me and I am curious to know if anyone else finds this happening to them.

Before I found my first gaming site, qj.net I would only know what I read in my gameinformer subscription, reading just a small portion of a game preview left me more than enough excitement for the newest RPG's coming around the corner (my favorite area of a magazine). Now though I read about a game all the time, sometimes I see posts about them everyday, all over the net and by the time the game comes out I seem to not appreciate them as much because I pretty much know everything about them.

This only started happening this gen too, even with the PS2 I would just walk into a game shop see an RPG and think "Wow, I must play this game". I would read no reviews or user opinions and honestly I found that I actually enjoyed games so much more. I would play games 2-3-4 sometimes 5+ times before I grew tired of them. These days if I buy a game I am lucky if I finish it, it is not because I do not have the time, I just seem to lose interest so quickly because I always know about the next game right around the corner and I just divert all my attention elsewhere.

Those 2 things are just killing it for me recently. Knowing about it before playing and knowing what is right around the corner.

My latest casualty is Fable II. I read almost nothing on the original, I picked it up because I neglected it for so long and just feel in love with it This time around, I read so many reviews, reviews, user input, etc... that I pretty much knew what to expect before I started playing and honestly nothing has suprised me in the least with the game. It is so sad honestly because I know if it had the same fate as the original with me I would have fell in love with it.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I think I need to just stop reading all this bogus crap about games and start picking them up on impulse, I always seemed to get lucky that way and enjoyed them so much more when I did not know a damn thing to expect before I started playing.
