i'm quite embarressed because for the whole of october, i had assumed that the ps3 outsold the 360 in others, thinking the price drop didn't do much to help. now this comes along and BAM! all my theories out the window. this was quite a hefty adjustment.

Why are you embarressed? You just went on the figures put before you. I still don't buy them personally especially after seeing 'Other Europe' change from 360 being last to beat the Wii.

The only difference is price, if the PS3 was £130 or £170 or £200 then it would be selling a lot more in my view.

Sony should be able to afford a price cut in EU. Infact they should jsut drop it anyway out of respect for crewing us over this long paying so much when the US pays next to nothing.

maybe embarressed is a strong word. but i had a mindset and a lot of my hopes for ps3 staying within line of competition this christmas was riding on it having a foothold in europe. that's clearly gone now. unless there are further adjustments that swing sonys' way.

i still think ps3 will do great for a console of its price. but we all know where the ps3 will end up this christmas after this huge adjustment.
