OK...

First when you say 200M SW, I guess you count wiisports and wiiplay. I'm sorry but you cannot count them with the total softwares (they are both bundled), so it makes 150M. So it's not 1/5 but between 1/3 and 1/4 of the SW sales.

Then, you say most ps3 gamers want their COD, wrong, COD4 was the only one that had so much success, it's pretty new. And, much more important, brand new IP's had great success on ps3, unlike the wii.

You know, I don't wanna destroy the wii, I don't care, but the fact is that nintendo gamers are more difficult to "move". It feels like they always want their new mario or their new metroid or wathever. Just look at this site, it's always "when is the new zelda or the new mario launched".

Nintendo created powerfull video games icons, but it may be a problem. The thing is, when you buy a nintendo console, people wanna play nintendo games, nothing else.

Bran new IPs didn't have success on Wii? Are you kidding me? The best selling single-play non-bundled console game this gen is a new IP! Wii Fit.

What Brand new IPs have had a huge success on Ps3? In the top 15 of sales, there are 3. Motorstorm, Resistance, and Assassin's Creed.

Do the same for Wii. Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Fit, Carnival Games and Big Brain Academy (new IP this gen, and first on console. You can choose not to count this if you like.

My point with CoD and those, was that 3 franchises on Wii were about equal.

I'm also greatly against not counting Wii Play and Sports. They are both games, and according to the Nintendo channel, Wii Sports is averaged 40 hours of play, and Wii Play 15 (I believe). Obviously, this takes people away from buying other games. Discounting them is stupid.

Why is it a problem that they buy Nintendo games? Third parties still sell as much as they do on Ps3 and X360, but at a lower development cost. I don't think they care that there is a Nintendo game that outsells their game.

Also, looking at the Wii owners on this site and trying to make a trend from that doesn't work at all.

Edit: Whoops, I forgot. The number is 249M software shipped, so my 200M  sold seems a bit low, perhaps more ala 210M.
