OK, ZenfoldorVGI, what about this word-of-mouth scenario?

"The game is fun, but I can't read anything so I sometimes don't know what to do. I wish I knew what people were saying 'cause I bet it's interesting."

I have to disclaim that I haven't played B&K (never got the N64 game, don't have Gold) so I don't know how illegible the text is and how critical it is to gameplay. But it sounds like it's pretty bad.

Now the above hypothetical scenario is hardly THIS GAME IS SHIT but it's far from a ringing endorsement. I could definitely see people deciding to get some other game based on that.

What was the word of mouth for Carnival Games?

As for the game, it's comparable to Mario Brothers.

As for the "but it sounds like it's pretty bad" part, I'm sure it is if you have a SD TV. However, I'd imagine it is also over-blown. Everything, ever, on a gaming forum is. These are the people who obsess over .1 point score differences from IGN.

I'd imagine a casual or child might notice the text being small, if they play on a SD TV, but I doubt it would ruin the game for them. Like I said, this is more of a slap in the face to core SD gamers, than anything. I'd imagine those screwed over gamers would want to see justice via bad sales and reviews, but if this games gets bad sales and reviews, it will be because the game was poorly made and/or marketed, not because of a font issue...

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
