I assure you that you that the anime will not have any kind of a negative effect on the game itself. I am horrified at the pitiful excuse of a game most anime based fighter end up being. Treasure, however, finds ways to make the aime work with the system rather than making a system to work with the anime. If you knew nothing of bleach and just liked fighters I would say this game is a must have. Sadly, it will probably sell all of 10 copies world wide.
