Microsoft has very high hopes for Halo 3 (surpassing box office record)

It would need one day sales of somewhere in between 2-2.5 million. Since it has already surpassed 1 million preorders it would be interesting to find out the percentage of people who usually preorder a videogame versus opening day sales of the game.
