| MaxwellGT2000 said: So the old debate was, CoD4 graphics possible on Wii by the end of the generation, lots of people said it could get close cause of optimizing graphics on Wii and using a lot of tricks of the trade of course. Now almost a year later where are we on seeing this happen? Well the first step the CoD4 engine is actually being used on Wii, not even close to 360 or PS3 as far as looks go but it's a step to try and make impressive graphics on the Wii, maybe when infinity ward works on CoD6 they can put some of that time and experience on the Wii build of the CoD4 engine and we can see what it could really look like on Wii. The second part of this is the Conduit, it has shown you can do lighting and effects on Wii that were once thought impossible or developers just said the Wii CAN'T do. So they proved there's more in that little white box then the graphics of the countless PETZ titles. Maybe with time you could get just as polished graphics as CoD4 on Wii just less polygons and smoothing things out to give the feeling it's pulling powerhouse graphics of CoD4. We all know Wii could never have the exact same textures/polygons of the PS3/360 versions of CoD4 but with developers working hard on the engines they're making for Wii it's more plausable that the Wii could potentially make games that give the graphical pleasure of CoD4. |
Maybe this post will make you happy.
1. No, COD4 graphics are not pissble on Wii, and won't be regardless of how much optimazation you put into it.
2. The Conduit is claimed the Wii's best looking game so far, and it cannot compare to COD4.
3. World at War looks awful on PS3 and 360, let alone Wii. Doesn't look like that COD4 engine is doing much for the white box.
4. Like I said Conduit cannot compare with COD4, and people like to pick and choose what screens they show, I can show you a bunch of screens where regardless of lighting and effects it looks awful even for a Wii game.
5. Again, the Wii simply doesn't have the power and no amount of tricks and magic will give you a game with the qualities of COD4.
6.And AGAIN, the Wii simply can't do what the HD consoles can, maybe it can do them one at a time, but it cannot have all those things that make the HD consoles great on the screen at one time, therefore you cannot have a game with the graphical pleasure of the COD4.
Happy? I just disected your original post.
