The discussion isn't about making the Wii look like current standards of the HD consoles rather make Wii look as good as a year old game, IE CoD4

It's simply not going to happen. No game on Wii will ever look as good as COD4 and I don't care how compare it. It's not going to happen.

I have to agree with Username2324.

CoD4 was a mid-console-lifespan (several years into the 360's release) game on platforms substantially more capable than the Wii.  The Wii cannot hope to ever have a game that "looks as good".

Wii fanboys need to stop wanting the Wii to be some hot gaming console, and stand in line with the zillions of Wii owners who bought it for what it truly represents (casual fun).  It is not a HD console.  It is an architecture now some 6 years past its prime (whereas the X360 and PS3 were on par with high-end PCs at the time of their release, the Wii was not), that is just plain not capable of meeting the HD consoles head on.  The Wii's fantastic sales #s have nothing to do with its technological "power", so expecting developers to squeeze enough out of it to compete with even older HD games is... ridiculous.

If you want a game like CoD4 on your TV, buy a X360 or a PS3.. or hook your PC to your TV.  Miracles aren't going to magically appear from your favorite Wii developer.  Lets see some shipped Wii software from Factor 5 or High Voltage, before we start believing they can make the Wii look that good.  HV had trouble even getting a publisher for The Conduit until recently... that doesn't say much for the game, really.  Factor 5's last game was an utter failure (Lair, PS3) -- especially in the framerate dept., pretty much proving they don't understand any architectures other than the GC and Wii (which are really simple by comparison to the other consoles), so they shouldn't be making comparisons.

Factor 5 did a good job with the GC... with space games, which are *really* easy to make look good.  Their first foray into something deeper... sucked.  I don't even consider their comments serious anymore.

Oh man you failed so hard right there I feel sorry for you. HVS got tons of offers from publishers after the game was officially announced at IGN. They were even able to finish the game before deciding on a publisher, so the publishers couldn't interfer with the quality of the game.
