Is Wii Music too hard for the core gamers?

I actually bought my Wii expecting a little more than I got...

I have invested quite a bit of cash in games for it, but have found that just about all of them are either too easy, or the control is too awkward (such as the CSI game) to enjoy.

Actually, the only game I like thus far is the Wii Bowling on Wii Sports... but I refuse to give up on the console yet, because I think the potential for some great games still exists.  I honestly think that had they released it as an HD console, a lot more developers would have been more creative with the titles they've released.  I think software developers for the Wii tend to "dumb" down the games because they see the core audience as the type who need such games to be interested in them.

I hope that changes really, because the concept behind the Wii is actually pretty fantastic.
