1. In one of the reviews for said card, somebody wrote this: Cons: Not a con; just a reminder: don't forget to change the jumper on the card from PAL to NTSC. What does he mean, and how do I "change the jumper"?
2. There is PCI express x16, and PCI express 2.0 x16. How do I know which one I have on my new computer?
3. I have on my computer: unused/total 1/1 PCI express x1 1/1 PCI experss x16 1/2 PCI v 2.3 What is PCI v 2.3? Could I hook my videocard into it by mistake? How can I know which one to put my videocard in, by visually looking?
That's all for now. |
1. Did you buy the card from an overseas vendor? I'm not used to video cards having a Pal/NTSC jumper on them either.
What card did you buy?
2. Which motherboard did you buy? It also may not matter. PCI Express 2.0 just offers more bandwidth than 1.0 but if your video card doesn't use more than 1.0 spec bandwidth (which i don't think any of them ever do yet) then 2.0 wouldn't matter.
3. PCI is the interface used before PCI Express. Your video card can't fit in that slot anyway. They are typically reserved for sound cards now.
