By the way, I just pre-ordered my DSi and will go pick it up tomorrow when they go on sale.
While I was at the store, I noticed that they had a couple of non-functioning DSi models on display. I was a bit surprised by the difference in screen size. Not that the screen sizes rival the PSP, for example; I was simply surprised that the increase was immediately obvious. I expected it to be more subtle, i.e. something I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't already known about it.
Another interesting difference is that all of the face buttons and d-pad have a much lower profile than my DS Lite did.
And, the volume controller is no longer a slider; it is a single button with + and - at opposite ends.
Regarding overall size, it is noticeably thinner and longer than the DS Lite.
