I would tend to disagree with this argument. By and large, I don't think a *potential* 360 purchaser will purchase a Wii and vice versa. They are just that different. Maybe some small percentage of people will make a mistake and buy a Wii or 360/PS3 and find that it didn't work for them but I don't believe they are competing that much for the same set of dollars. Nintendo has appealed to two crowds: Nintendo faithful and casual gamers. I don't think either of those two camps were about to jump on a Ps3 or 360 any time soon. Just my opinion, of course, and it could be wrong. On the software side of things I can see, to some degree, some competition. I bought Madden 08 for my Wii instead of 360. Can you believe that? Yes, because it has a "family friendly" mode. I would not have bought it for the 360 -- period so at least in my case MS didn't "lose" anything in this scenario though I can see where it might be possible to lose a few.
