I hope this game still sells well and believe it will do. However I think the stalled launch will affect initial sales of the game. The momentum of hype that had built up can't be sustained. People will already be thinking about the R2 purchase.
The delayed release may have a small impact on the PS3 hardware sales spike that LBP creates but it won't be critical. For long term sales it's more important for Sony to have another critically acclaimed 'AAA' title which will have legs in it's library.
