@HappySqurriel, i don't think it matters how Sony wins this gen or when they win this gen but it will happen. I know lots of people that will buy the wii just to go with their main system the 360 or PS3. The PS3 is a media powerhouse that has unlimited potential.

The wii is still not going to get third party support like the PS1 or PS2 did, they have a limited market of people that are willing to buy third party games, ask anyone who buys a wii what they are going to buy and it will be wii sports, wii play, and anything with Mario and anything else Nintendo puts out, and whatever smal party games come out. Third parties know this, and this is why the main series of games will always be on 360/PS3. The main FF series will never go to the wii, the same with all the other games.

I'm sorry, that's absoluetly false ...

Wii gamers are no different than every other gamer and are looking forward to GOOD games; first/third party really doesn't matter. The third party line-up on the Wii is remarkably weak because they did not anticipate the success of the Wii and it is taking time to correct that mistake, and yet the Wii has sold far more third party software than the PS3; the PS3 doesn't even have a single third party million seller, and I don't think there are any games that have broken 500,000 copies sold yet. Inexpensive, shitty games a selling better on the Wii than expensive high quality games are selling on the PS3.

Third party support is already starting to flee the PS3 and over the next 12 months it is going to become obvious that the combination of High Development costs and a Small Userbase will devistate corporate interest in the platform. When Boards are doing long term planning and board meetings they're going to look at how most third party PS3 games spent $20 Million+ in development and have sold less than 250,000 copies (which probably means they lost money) while Wii games cost $5 to $10 Million and sold 250,000 to 750,000 copies (which probably means they made a healthy profit).

The reason there has never been a major momentium shift half way through a generation is because after a console demonstrates that it is not profitable enough third parties flee it and do not return.
