I have a question. How much of the sales for PS3 & XBox360 are traditional gamers(Red Ocean)? At some point that demographic is going to become exhausted this console cycle correct? I think thats why you won't see the "systems sellers" effect for those consoles as much cause they are starting to sell mostly to their base.
...On the flipside I think it's foolish to assume that THIS is all the Wii has to offer when it continue to expand the market(Blue Ocean). Just like the DS's stranglehold on Software/Hardware dominance started to occur in it's third year it can't be questioned.
2009 is going to be a VERY interesting year...
