NSMB, if you haven't played 2D Marios, you propably rate it to 9/10 and if you have, you rate it 11/10. :)
Mario Kart DS, it's a great game as single player game, multiplayer game and has better than expected online.
Brain Training is really enjoyable and hooking, good thing is that it saves your record only once a day, so you don't spend hours a day trying to beat your record. This game is at its best, if you have 4 players playing the same cartrige.
Avoid Nintendogs, it is really addictive and since it never ends, you have sold your soul to the devil with this game (but the puppies are so fun and cute...) the most Hardcore game i have ever played.
Also, since the GBA games work with DS, you may find (if you don't have GBA) good single player (multiplayer doesn't work) GBA games.
