It would be cool, but I think there are technical constraints which would get in the way of this. A working demo of a modern game would be a big chunk of data. It would take a long damn time to download on most networks and take up a lot of the Wii's memory, if it could fit at all (I actually have no idea how much flash memory is in those things).

Just make it possible to play demos from SD cards and that should be solved.
