Fable 2 has 18 90+ reviews so far.
You've been on the LBP side of the whole Fable 2 vs LBP fanboy fiasco from the start.
At least you aren't an ignorant hypocrite like the OP. Be careful with who you agree with though.
Blaming Fable 2 reviews(which have been quite great, actually...) for this userreview fiasco when the userreviews for every other PS3 game are like that, is completely ignorant and wrong. You realize this, however in the future, I wish I wouldn't have to spell everything out for you like this.
Now, the reality about Fable 2 vs LBP is this:
Everyone expected LBP to outscore Fable 2 in reviews. That's not spin or damage control, that's reality. Most knowledgable people expected it. Now, yes, some people expected Fable 2 to score 90 percent on metacritic, but an equal amount of them hated on the game(PS3 fans mostly) saying that it would dissapoint on what it promised, like Fable 1. Fable 2, however, promised less than Fable 1 and delivered far more. 89 was close enough to the 9/10 the developer promised us. Nobody cancelled their preorders, trust me. I'm sure a large number of people expected LBP to be in the top 10 on gamerankings. 94 is close enough. Nobody cancelled their preorders because of reviews.
To pretend that either one of these games isn't great, or that one of them "flopped" is pure unadulterated fanboyism.
As far as comparing them, LBP had better reviews, yes. However, we are comparing apples and oranges here. Would you rather play a great rpg or a really great platformer? Yes, this gen, we've had higher rated platformers and higher rated rpgs. That doesn't mean that these games are somehow deficient. I wish that PS3 fans would stop trying to hold down one, to raise another.
I like to use this example. I'm not a big fan of puzzle games. I like narrative and in game building, not building of my mental capacities. Thus, I would rather play an 8/10 jrpg than a 10/10 puzzle game. I dunno if I'd rather play a 9/10 RPG or a 9.5/10 2d Platformer, but to be honest, I'd love to play them both. Apples and oranges.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
